Impact of Automation on Handling Innocent Cryogenic Samples

Storing samples in liquid nitrogen vapor phase freezers (LN2) to preserve sample viability is very common and performed throughout biobanking and cell therapy industries.

As samples of interest are accessed, innocent samples (those not intended to be thawed) are exposed to warmer temperatures. Constant thawing/freezing through the glass transition phase may cause irreversible damage to these samples.

Here, we compare the differences between manual and automated handling of cryoboxes relative to warm up rates of innocent samples.

Discover how automated cryofreezers significantly benefit innocent sample protection compared to manual liquid nitrogen vapor phase freezers!
